Principals

The principals of LA Urban Homes have worked together for many years, developing superb relationships among themselves, their employees, consultants and customers. They have combined experience of over 100 years in the development field. While each principal has specific areas of responsibility, the other principals are well qualified to do any task.

JEFFREY LEE, PRESIDENT
Mr. Lee, a second generation builder, co-manages the day to day operations of the company. Since graduating from the University of Southern California in 1979, Jeff has worked in all aspects of the company including Purchasing Agent, Superintendent, Project Manager and Director of Marketing and Sales. In 1997, Mr. Lee became president of Lee Homes.

Mr. Lee is a former member of the Greater Los Angeles/Ventura Building Industry Association Board of Director and was Chairman of the Los Angeles City Governmental Relations Committee. He has been named Builder of the Year in 1993, 1999 and 2006. He is also on the board of Los Angeles Family Housing and an appointee of Mayor James Hahn to the $100 Million Housing Trust Fund Oversight Committee.


MICHAEL ADLER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Adler co-manages the day to day operations of the company. An honors graduate of California State University Northridge in Finance/Real Estate in 1979 and a California Real Estate Broker since 1981, Mr. Adler joined the firm in 1983 as Controller and Broker. In 1988 he became Chief Financial Officer and in 1997 became Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Adler’s professional affiliations include: Board member/Chief Officer on all Homeowner Associations developed by the company; membership in numerous Board of Realtors in Southern California including The Los Angeles Board of Realtors; Member, Urban Land Institute; Member, Building Industry Association;; Treasurer, Eastwind Gardens; Director of Venice Next Step


HARLAN LEE, CHAIRMAN
Mr. Lee has been a homebuilder for over 50 years. Mr. Lee directs the planning, design, product development and marketing of all our communities. Through his guidance and leadership the company has achieved prominence and success in a highly competitive industry. He was one of the first builders selected to participate in the master-planned communities of Janss Conejo, Westlake Village, Mission Viejo, Calabasas Park and Via Verde. His joint venture partners have been some of the largest corporations in America: American Hawaiian Steamship Company, Bechtel Corporation, Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison Company, Janss Company, Pauley Petroleum, World Savings & Loan and Mitsubishi International. His companies have built over 6,000 homes and 1,000 apartment units over the past 39 years.
Mr. Lee has been highly honored by industry and consumer groups for the excellence of his homes and he has given service to his industry and his community as a Board Member of the National Association of Home Builders and Member of the Urban Land Institute. His numerous civic and community activities include former Founder and President of the Venice Action Committee, board Member of the American Sailing Association and Board Member for the Foundation of the Junior Blind, including serving as developer for an innovative camp for the Junior Blind.


Senior Staff

DAVID MAGDYCH, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION

Mr. Magdych is responsible for all construction operations of the company including both single-family and multifamily homes, from pre-construction through completion, including Buyer and HOA Turnovers. More specifically, he is responsible for: offsite and offsite grading and infrastructure, including pre-development planning and value engineering; budget preparation; purchasing; scheduling and construction; quality control; governmental agency interaction, staffing all construction and customer service activities; risk management: HOA budget review, HOA turnover and administration.

Mr. Magdych is a Graduate of Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio holding a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration Degree. In addition he attained Journeyman status with the Carpenter’s Union. He also holds a California Contractor’s License Class “B”, General Contractor. He has over forty-five years of experience encompassing over twenty thousand housing units, as well as commercial and industrial buildings, with nationally recognized firms. He joined Lee Homes in 1998.


MONTE RESCH, CONTROLLER
Mr. Resch’s responsibilities include overseeing all accounting operations, coordination of all monthly and annual financial statements, overseeing accounts receivable/payables and construction loan requests, cash management, payroll supervision, property tax administration and project budgeting and analysis.

Mr. Resch joined Lee Homes in 1989 after graduating from University of California, Los Angeles with a BS in Political Science/Economics. He is a member of various service organizations, currently serving on the board of directors for the Los Angeles Sports Foundation. 


LAURA DEYARMIN, VICE PRESIDENT ADMINISTRATION
Ms. Deyarmin is in charge of administration of sales and escrow processing, contract administration, construction loan processing, insurance procurement facilitation and information management. Her responsibilities include expediting transactions as needed during development, construction and sale out of projects.

She is a 1981 graduate of Penn State University with a BFA degree. Prior to joining Lee Homes 1994, Ms. Deyarmin has been in the real estate industry since 1986 with Urban West Communities and Tishman West Management.


JIL BLUMBERG FROMAN, MARKETING AND SALES DIRECTOR
Ms. Blumberg has more than 20 years in the homebuilding industry. She handles all of the marketing, public relations and sales efforts at the company. She maintains marketing budgets, implements all marketing and media plans, directs creative and public relations for all new home communities. She hires sales agents, manages sales teams and oversees the day to day sales activities. She interfaces with lenders, escrow, financial partners, interior designer and others.

She is the publisher/writer of the Lee Homes company newsletter.
Ms. Blumberg is a 1986 graduate of University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in Communications/Sociology and a California Real Estate Agent. Prior to joining Lee Homes in 2006, she worked for Larwin, Western Pacific Housing, and TriMark/Weyerheauser. She has been a member of the LA/Ventura Sales and Marketing Council since 1986, serving as a board member for several years and as president in 1996; in 2001 she was inducted into their Hall of Fame. She served on the LA/Ventura HomeAid committee.


SARAH LEE, DIRECTOR OF DESIGN
Ms. Lee is responsible for Design decisions regarding specifications for interior and exterior finishes and detailing, coordination/scheduling/quality control in the Construction Department.

She has a background in art and design and graduated California State University at Northridge with a BA in 1976 and graduated The Louise Academy of Fashion Design in 1993. She joined Lee Homes in 1999.
